Interrogative Sentence with 吗 (Ma)


Its actually about yes/no question sentence. To make interrogative
sentence with 吗, you only need to add an interrogative particle 吗 (ma) and a question mark at the end of a declarative sentence.
Let's compare:
Declarative Sentence Pattern   :Subject+是+Noun
Interrogative Sentence Pattern: Subject+是+Noun+吗？
Examples:
1.他是老师。
Tā shì lǎoshī.
He is a teacher.
他是老师吗？
Tā shì lǎoshī ma?
Is he a teacher?
2.她是学生。
Tā shì xuéshēng.
She is a student.
她是学生吗？
Tā shì xuéshēng ma?
Is she a student?
3.他们是留学生。
Tāmen shì liúxuéshēng.
They are foreign students.
